Each week the Club likes to recognize one male and one female athlete in the Older and Younger category that has shown exemplary effort, leadership, and/or positive attitude.

October 31- November 6, 2011

Calvin Aceves - B96
	"Calvin Aceves plays forward for the Boys 96 Premier team. His enthusiasm and dedication to the game has earned him the respect of his teammates. He played a huge part in the team finishing 2nd in the Premier Division this year. Calvin has scored several goals this season but his work ethic and physical presence disrupts the opponent’s defenses so that even when he doesn’t score he creates opportunities for his teammates to score." -- Coach Jess
Erica Snodgrass - GU19 Red
Picture Coming Soon	"Erica is a force to be reckoned with on the field. Her speed and perseverance are evident in her ability to score for her team. She is a valuable member of our team. Great Job, Erica!!" -- Coach Kamran
Christopher Ryan - B98 White
Picture Coming Soon	"Christopher Ryan is our player of the week. Christopher has shown great assertiveness, and great confidence under extreme pressure as our left mid-fielder. We enjoy having him as part of our team, he’s always very supportive towards his team mates, shows up to practice ready to give 100%, and is a great contribution to our team." -- Coach Jess
Tori Ochoa - G00
	"Tori’s aggressive play as a central midfielder helped the girls continue their undefeated season and secure a berth in the second round of league cup play. Her tireless energy and effort in winning 50-50 balls helped the team overcome a sluggish start and control the field throughout. That effort proved to be contagious for her teammates who responded and followed her lead. Tori’s on-field play is only matched by her bright and cheery personality off the field. She is a joy to be around, and is well liked by her teammates." -- Coach Jess

Daniela Perez - G98
	"[Daniela] continuously shows her hard work, effort and skill. She is an instrumental part of our team." -- Coach Merlyn
Fernando Ochoa - B00
	"Fernando Ochoa plays offensive center mid for the U11 Boys Gold Team and had an amazing week. The Boys went into the weekend in 2nd place in league having to play the 3rd and 4th place Celtic and Blues teams who were gunning for us in an attempt to take over second place. In the first game on Saturday against Celtic, Fernando dominated the center of the park not allowing the opponent to get anything started. He also created the play, earning the assist, that resulted in the lone goal that gave the team a 1-0 victory. On Sunday, Fernando again dominated play, creating opportunity after opportunity for his team which ultimately won 3-2 ensuring a 2nd place finish in this very powerful Gold Division. Fernando, a Team Captain, not only leads by example with his skill and play creation on the field, he also exhibits endless energy and never stops moving off of the ball, continually disrupting the opponents play. Additionally and most importantly, Fernando can always be heard encouraging his teammates to keep fighting and press harder. Fernando is a true leader." -- Coach Danny
Jorge Trigueros - B95 Red
Picture Coming Soon	"Ivan was a huge part of the team’s success this past weekend. His effort and determination at the forward position led to multiple scoring opportunities, and directly contributed to at least 3 of the 6 goals scored. His tireless work ethic, combined with a strong field presence, sound footwork, and outstanding character, has helped him establish himself as a team leader, and earned the respect of his coaches and teammates alike." -- Coach Susano

Lance Halm - B95
	"Lance scored some very important goals for us in League Cup and worked very hard in both Saturdays and Sundays matches." -- Coach Brent
Peter Carrasco - B98 Red
	"Although his normal position on the team is striker, Peter was asked to play a defensive role so we could take advantage of his speed against a very dangerous opponent. Peter put the team first and did what was asked of him - with a great attitude and a smile." -- Coach Brent
Iven Legaspi - B97 Red
	"Ivan was a huge part of the team’s success this past weekend. His effort and determination at the forward position led to multiple scoring opportunities, and directly contributed to at least 3 of the 6 goals scored. His tireless work ethic, combined with a strong field presence, sound footwork, and outstanding character, has helped him establish himself as a team leader, and earned the respect of his coaches and teammates alike." -- Coach Oscar
Julia Horcasitas - G99
	"Julia was instrumental in leading the charge on a 0-3 comeback tie. She scored the third goal from 30 yards out on a left footed strike that brought us even in a pivotal league game. Her endless work in the middle of the field this weekend was priceless." -- Coach Matt

Tyler Huynh - B00 Red
	"Tyler is a player who leads by example, works hard during every training session and comes ready to play to every game. This week was no exception, with the team down in goals; Tyler did not give up and helped the team to score 2 of the team’s 3 goals for Saturday. Tyler particularly stood out this week as a forward who fought to get the ball back from the other team’s defense." -- Coach Kamran
Janessa Gallardo - G99

Tanner Owen - B95
	"[Tanner] played well on Saturday and had a very good game on Sunday. Although we lost he had a very solid game and was our teams most effective player. He had a never give up type of attitude and our opponent even started playing away from his side of the field as he was causing so many problems for them." -- Coach Brent
Katie Argumosa - GU19
Picture Coming Soon	"As our captain [Katie] showed a lot of dedication and heart. She injured her foot last week in a match and was in a walking boot at practice this past week. She was told not to play on Saturday and the team clearly wasn’t the same without her and so she decided to fight though the pain and play on Sunday and in result she helped us pull off a big win." -- Coach Brent

Amanda Padilla - G98
Picture Coming Soon	"Amanda was instrumental in our win this weekend. Her work ethic created several scoring opportunities for the team. She scored the winning goal from a free kick." -- Coach Merlyn
Iven Morales - B99
	"Iven played a great game on Sunday as a holding midfielder. Iven showed his versatility by having an assist and scoring a header in the second half to give our team the decisive goal and first win of the young season. Iven set the tone early for the team with his aggressive playing style and giving nothing less that 100% effort throughout the game. He showed FC Man United Class." -- Coach Mike
Kendall Spolsdolff - GU19 Red
	"Scored 4 goals over the weekend with a hat-trick on Sunday. Added a much needed spark to our team. Her recent form has helped the girls to a great 3-0 start in league. " -- Coach Kamran
Andrew Kohler - B95 Red
	"Andrew put two great games together this week. Providing great support to his team mates from an outside back position. He had a great can do attitude that culminated with him scoring a goal on Sunday. His effort is greatly appreciated. " -- Coach Susano
